Sometimes we work, not because we're motivated by those we work for or with. We do it because the people we serve, whether customers or employers, deserve the best.
Sometimes we lead, not because we're encouraged by our followers. We do it because there's a goal to be attained and there are people who need direction.
Sometimes we love, not because we're being loved back. We do it because it's our responsibility to love if we want to become anything like Christ.
Sometimes we give, not because we receive from those we give to. We do it because we understand the principle of giving and know how good it is to give.
So the next time you want to do something and feel the receiving party doesn't deserve it, ask yourself, "Do I deserve God's blessings?"
If God only did unto you as you deserved or as you motivated Him to do so, you may not be alive to read this post today. Romans 8:35-39.
NB: Some things are earned. Some things are responsibilities.
