It takes a long time to build a reputation and one single action to bring it all crashing down.
Sometimes, a good reputation is more important than what others tell us to do. If someone else’s advice is going to tarnish all you’ve built over the years, then it’s in your best interest to do what it takes to prevent that crash, no matter the cost.
Weigh all things.
