I’m a Christian and as one, I’m supposed to believe totally in God, for everything.
But sometimes I work, and believe in the work, and not the God who gave me that work. I know I’m not the only one caught in that trap.
Philippians 4:19 in the Bible says, “But my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.” But many times, I see myself working with the belief that, “my work will supply all my needs”.
This only leads to unnecessary busyness, lots of tension and stress.
Believing you can do it all on your own is the beginning of hypertension. I say that scripture many times, but I don’t think I’ve completely believed it.
It’s a lesson to myself, but a lesson to you too. Work believing that, “God will supply all your needs”. In other words, it’s as simple as starting your day with the statement, ” As I work, my God will supply all my needs according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus”.
You put in the effort and trust Him for the results. And often times, His results have a multiplying effect. Don’t ask me how that works. I have no idea.
