A man's life is like a house with many doors. Some like to leave the doors open. With this, any human, whether twisted or normal, can walk in without permission and mess the house up.
Some like to close the doors without locking them. Well, unfortunately, we have people who like to open doors without knocking too. So it almost makes no difference. For the few who hesitate and knock, you'll be able to say, "come in" to grant them access. But you're still not in full control.
Others like to lock their doors, consciously giving access to those they permit. These people realise that they hold the keys to the different aspects of their lives and choose who to involve in each aspect. Unfortunately, since they're not all knowing, they sometimes grant access to the wrong set of people. Truth is, you can't always know who is at the other end of the door unless you open it.
Then there's a small subset of people who not only lock their doors, but have cameras and guards at every entrance. These people don't actually have control over who comes in, but they have become all-knowing because they've chosen to leverage abilities they personally don't have.
This is what happens when you surrender your life to the One who knows all things. He'll fix the right cameras and place His guard (the Holy Spirit) at your doors. No one comes in without His permission.
The irony of this is, the less control you have, the more secure you become.
Job (Job 1:1-12) enjoyed this privilege. Do you have the Holy Spirit? Make it your goal to enjoy this privilege. Regardless of what category we fall into, all things, including unwanted visitors, will work together for our good, as was the case with Job.
