We’ve been taught that we’re made up of three parts: Body, Soul and Spirit.
Our body is flesh. Our soul is our psyche – the house of our emotions. It’s what makes the body what it is.
The Spirit is our life-force, like the electricity that activates everything. Without the Spirit, we’re lifeless.
Regardless of what Faith you practice, there’s always this deep need to connect our Spirit to something higher – a higher power.
Without being told, we know that there’s a source somewhere we need to discover that would constantly fuel our life-force (Spirit).
Even in places where the gospel of Christ may not have reached, such communities would already have a deity that they reverence or worship.
No one needs to have told them to worship something. They know they must worship something.
This is the same reason why when we become spiritually deficient, that void yearns to be filled with something, thus, we raise other gods in our hearts.
These gods don’t have to be graven images. Self, money, affection from someone, possessions can also fill that void.
Even work is a culprit.
What you think about most of the time is probably sitting on the high table in your life.
At that point, you have two choices: pursue it away and replace with the right thing, or serve it more food.
Your choice.
