Unrefined raw material is value but it is not usable and cannot be sold to or purchased by consumers.
Raw materials can be anything from physical minerals, to raw talents that are still very much crude. This is the reason why it can be challenging when a grown man just discovers his gifts and wants to earn from it immediately. Just doesn’t work that way.
In 2 Kings 4:1-7, a certain widow was broke, and her prophet made her understand that she couldn’t be helped unless she:
1. Had some little value to give.
2. Presented her value in packages so it could be appreciated.
Oil can never be appreciated or purchased if it is poured on the floor. It’s still very valuable oil, but the presentation is wrong. The only time it can be exchanged for money is when it is presented in a container.
Regardless of what you think you have or what you think you can do, if it’s not useful to someone else, develop it and change its presentation.
